STRAP™ Licence Agreement
This is the licence agreement shown and accepted when STRAP™ or STRAP LT is installed, or at the first sign-in to a STRAP hosted by RLKonsult. For a STRAP hosted by RLKonsult, "your computer or server" means the RLKonsult server that runs your STRAP.
Please read this agreement before you install STRAP. By clicking "I Agree", installing, copying or using STRAP you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, click "Cancel" and do not install or use STRAP.
1. Parties and software
This agreement is between RLKonsult ("RLKonsult", "we") and the person or organisation installing or using STRAP ("you"). "STRAP" means the STRAP strategy execution software, its installer, program files, Excel templates, demo data, help texts, designs and any updates RLKonsult provides.
2. Licensed, not sold
STRAP is licensed to you, not sold. RLKonsult owns STRAP and all copyright, trademarks, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights in it. STRAP™ is a trademark of RLKonsult. You receive only the rights written in this agreement.
3. What you may do
While your licence (or trial) is valid, you may install STRAP on the computer for which the licence key was issued and let the number of users stated in your licence use it, for the internal business purposes of your organisation. You may make backup copies of your own data.
4. What you may not do
You may not, and may not allow anyone else to:
- (a) copy STRAP, except as needed to install and back it up under section 3;
- (b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, de-obfuscate or otherwise try to obtain the source code, structure or design of STRAP, except where the law expressly allows it despite this limitation;
- (c) modify, translate, adapt or create derivative works or similar products based on STRAP;
- (d) sell, resell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, distribute, publish or host STRAP for third parties;
- (e) remove, disable, bypass or tamper with the licence check, the licence key, the trial period, the user limit or any other technical protection;
- (f) remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notices in STRAP.
5. Licence keys and trial
STRAP starts as a trial for a limited period and number of users. Continued use needs a valid licence key from RLKonsult or its authorised reseller. A licence key is tied to one computer. When a licence ends, STRAP becomes read-only.
6. Your data
The data you enter in STRAP stays yours. It is stored on your own computer or server. You are responsible for your data, its backups and for the information you send to an AI provider if you switch on AI suggestions with your own API key; the terms of that provider apply to that use. Support tickets are sent from your own email to RLKonsult and are handled to provide support.
7. Updates and support
RLKonsult may provide updates. Support is provided as agreed in your licence or order. Updates are covered by this agreement.
8. Warranty
STRAP is provided "as is". To the maximum extent allowed by law, RLKonsult gives no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and does not warrant that STRAP is error-free or uninterrupted. AI suggestions are hypotheses to be checked by people and are not professional advice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, RLKonsult is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or business, arising from the use of or inability to use STRAP. RLKonsult's total liability under this agreement is limited to the amount you paid for the STRAP licence in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you break this agreement. You must then stop using STRAP and remove it. Sections 2, 4, 8, 9 and 11 continue after termination.
11. General
This agreement is the whole agreement about STRAP unless a signed licence agreement with RLKonsult says otherwise. If a part of it cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force.
